Richard Prince in Manovich Book

Posted by: hmoir on: September 7, 2008

Hi,

Manovich also refers to artist Richard Prince in his book,The Language of New Media (page 142).  Prince’s work is an excellent example of Postmodernism, and I have included 2 of his images below.  The first one consists of ink jet print and acrylic paint, while the second one is composed of celebrity photographs and autographs–he is most well-known for these types of photo-based art.

I look forward to discussing the book in class tomorrow.  I hope the images I keep posting are helpful.
